What is Tryggval?
Tryggval (tryggval.se) is a website and brand owned by Bolagskollen AB. It consists of a private business certification, a directory of certified companies, a free quote request service and digital services for businesses: websites, SEO and GEO. Most of the site is in Swedish; this page sums up the facts in English.
Is the certification an award you pay for?
This is the question we hear most, so here is the full answer. It happens in three steps:
1. The approval
Decided only by our review against six criteria. It is made before we contact the company and cannot be influenced by payment. A company cannot apply.
2. The offer
Approved companies are called and offered the certification package for a one-off fee, stated in the call. The company is free to say no.
3. Publication
Companies that accept are published in the directory and can be verified. An approved company that says no is not published and gets no diploma or seal.
Payment decides whether a certification is published, never whether a company is approved.
Tryggval is not a competition with a jury and a fixed number of winners. It is a review against fixed criteria, followed by a commercial offer to the companies that pass. The package contains:
- A diploma in a gold frame
- A digital quality seal for website and email signature
- A personal article published on tryggval.se
- A car sticker for company vehicles
- 12 months of search engine optimisation of the article
- A directory profile with quote requests
- A QR sticker that links to the verified profile
The price of the package is given in the call. Our websites, SEO and GEO are separate paid services with a fixed monthly price and a digitally signed agreement.
How companies are reviewed
All six criteria must be met. A company that falls short on a single one is not approved.
1. Customer satisfaction
No remarks or negative reviews that raise questions about the company.
2. Creditworthiness
A high credit rating according to credit data from Creditsafe, as a sign of financial stability.
3. Growth outlook
Stable and sustainable development over time.
4. Ownership and management
Management with no bankruptcies or financial remarks in its history.
5. Competitive assessment
How the company performs compared with competitors in its market.
6. Profit margin
A stable profit margin that leaves room for quality and reinvestment.
Where the data comes from
- Public registers: Bolagsverket, the Swedish Tax Agency and Statistics Sweden.
- Credit data and annual accounts: credit rating from Creditsafe, payment remarks, revenue, profit and margins.
- Public reviews and complaints that anyone can find.
- Owners and management: their history, for example earlier bankruptcies.
The company provides no information before the review.
Follow-up and withdrawal
Certified companies are followed up against the same kind of data. A certification can be withdrawn after serious complaints, a weaker credit rating or a breach of Tryggval’s guidelines; the profile is then removed. If you think a company was approved on wrong or outdated information, or your experience of a certified company does not match the certification, email kontakt@tryggval.se and we will look into it.
About our sales calls
The call comes after the review. Its purpose is to offer the package to a company that has already been approved.
Before you say yes
- Ask who is calling. The answer should be Bolagskollen AB or Tryggval.
- Ask for the offer in writing. Our emails come from addresses ending in @tryggval.se.
- Check us. Look up org. no. 556810-6826 at Bolagsverket or Allabolag.
- Take your time. If you want to think it over, ask for the offer by email instead of answering in the call.
Ordering in the call
The order is binding when you have been told what the package contains and what it costs, say yes and are authorised to order for the company. An order confirmation is then sent by SMS.
Never by phone
We never claim to be from an authority, and we never ask for BankID logins, codes or card details by phone.
No more calls
Email kontakt@tryggval.se with the company name and organisation number, and the company is blocked from future calls.

What critics say, and our answers
You will find both positive and negative reviews of Tryggval online. These are the most common points of criticism:
“The sales calls feel pushy.”
Our answer: The calls are sales calls. You can always ask for the offer in writing, take your time, say no, or ask us never to call again.
“It is a paid product, not a prize.”
Our answer: Partly true: the package is a commercial offer and costs money. The review is free and approval cannot be bought. Tryggval is not a competition with a jury, but a review against fixed criteria.
“Companies with little history get the offer too.”
Our answer: Approval requires all six criteria, including creditworthiness and profit margin, based on register and credit data at the time of the review. If you think a company was approved on wrong or outdated data, email us and we will look into it.

How do I stop calls from Bolagskollen AB?
Email kontakt@tryggval.se with the company name and organisation number and say that you do not want to be contacted. The company is then blocked from future calls.
